About the role
As the Hydrogen Finance Business Partner, you will be reporting to the Global Finance Director BFT-HCB, supporting him in a global commercial controlling role for the Global Business Unit of BFT to set up processes, governance, and analytical framework to drive BFT’s profitability via proper pricing and accounts receivable management.
You will have a dotted lined reporting line to the VP Hydrogen acting as the right-hand person to drive Bekaert’s energy transition initiatives towards green hydrogen production within the Global Business Unit of BFT.
Your Impact as the Hydrogen Finance Business Partner and Global BFT Commercial Finance Partner
- You will provide support for growth cases, prepare financial business cases for the hydrogen segment, collect and challenge sensibly the assumptions and input from business managers and supporting functions, prepare scenario analyses to stress-test the cases and you will monitor strategic, operational, and financial value realization after implementation starts and work with VP Hydrogen for corrective actions or for new strategic directions based on the latest market developments as necessary.
- You will provide business insights based on month-end financial analyses and devise corrective actions and identify opportunities if actual financials deviate from forecast financials.
- You are responsible for the preparation of end-to-end ebitU, capital employed, CapEx and OCF for hydrogen segment for short-term (moving 3 months) forecast, yearly budget (X+1 calendarized by month) and long-term planning (X+5) and you will work together with segment sales managers in Hydrogen, IFS, Filtration, UFW to improve forecasting accuracy and to automate forecasting and analysis with IT tools as necessary with help of Bekaert IT department.
- You will develop a framework and guidance for price setting within Global BFT segments (Hydrogen, IFS, Filtration and UFW) and you will develop dynamic pricing tools to reflect latest manufacturing costs and overhead costs evolution to create value to shareholders.
- You will advise on proper credit terms with customers based on working capital investment costs. You will follow-up accounts receivable situation to help reduce accounts receivable overdue and work with sales managers to devise structural initiatives to reduce overdues and DSOs with the aim to optimize working capital investment in accounts receivable.
- You will develop metrics and statistics to measure sales force efficiency, work with sales managers to devise structural measures to drive sales force efficiency.
About You
Essential skills & competencies
- You are a qualified accountant, and you have a master’s degree and preferably MBA and you have at least 8-10 years of relevant financial business partnering experience with business unit general manager. Experience in renewable energy industry is an asset.
- You have experience in value pricing setting in a commercial environment and M&A experience is an asset.
- You have hands-on knowledge with SAP and with business forecasting analytics.
- You demonstrate excellent financial modelling skills, strong corporate finance and business valuation knowledge.
- You possess a can-do attitude, can work independently, are a self-starter and are able to improvise. You are assertive and able to challenge management in a diplomatic manner.
- You are able to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms.
