Job Summary
Within the Global Business Services (GBS) division, the IT support Engineer ensures the IT equipment of business colleagues is adequate, fully functional and drives productivity. You work in close collaboration with your local supervisor and with the different centers of excellence of the group. You ensure daily activities are efficient, and drive process improvement wherever possible, always in compliance with regulatory requirements (business unit ISO27001 and SOC Type2 audited).
Office location: Mechelen with irregular visits to the Hasselt office
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide desktop support for all company PCs, mobile devices, printers and associated devices

Provide technical support internally, via phone, all available communication tooling including coordinating necessary actions and departments to resolve issues

Troubleshoot, escalate and manage tier 2-3 helpdesk issues and security incidents

Provide advanced level application training/support (anti-virus, e-mail, mobile devices, etc.)

Manage hardware and software inventory and management
-
Organize, inventory and manage IT storage facilities

Manage OS and software application updates/patches
-
Manage ‘checkout’ and tracking of loaned hardware (laptops, software, etc.)

Advanced experience with computer software applications (Web Browsers, MS Office, OneDrive, Teams, etc.)

You plan and execute the setup, centralization and optimization, as well as the strategic expansion of our IT infrastructure

You recognize optimization potentials in existing processes and convert them into practical solutions

General supervision of central Onsite-services (DHCP, Print servers, Storage solutions, DNS, AD)
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Experience
5-8 years of broad information technology experience
Minimum of 3 years of very strong Microsoft Windows Clients experience
Minimum of 3 years of Microsoft Office 365 experience
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications
-
Strong skills with windows services (AD, Office 365, Azure)

Experience with Mac is a plus
-
Strong experience in a Desktop Support role and with maintaining End user-devices

Experience with the ITSM (process improvement frameworks and methodologies) - ITIL

Experience with SCCM and Intune preferred

Experience with ServiceNow preferred

Experience with working in an international environment, with distributed teams and remote collaboration in Dutch and English

Very good communicating skills to adapt to a large scope of audience

Accountability

MCITP, MCP, or MCDST preferred
