We are looking to strengthen our teams with an experienced International Project Manager for deployment on one of our projects in Africa.
Job description
You are responsible for the complete project management of assigned projects:
- You manage the projects from start to finish; you are responsible for project planning; quality, safety and budget.
- The management of contractual documents concerning legal, financial, safety and quality conditions is part of your job; you check whether the necessary permits are present and correct.
- You follow up budgets, project results and financial reporting and monitor the profitability of the assignment.
- You manage a team of site managers, operational staff and subcontractors. You put the right person in the right place for each aspect.
- You identify risks and solve emerging problems.
- As an expert in your field, you monitor the technical and complex aspects during execution and advise the teams.
- You are the point of contact for the customer.
- You guarantee that everything is done in accordance with safety, health, quality and environmental policies.
Profile
- You obtained a Master degree in Civil Engineering/Industrial Engineering Construction.
- 5-8 years of relevant international experience is recommended preferably in civil works or drinking water infrastructure.
- You are flexible and willing to work in ( sub-Sahara ) Africa.
- You are good with organization and have strong communication skills.
- You are a team player.
- You are proactive, forward-thinking and assess situations correctly.
- You have an affinity with working in a multicultural context.
- You are fluent in French and English, knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
