About the Role
By joining Global Security - CSO Office & Strategy, you will report to the Chief Security Officer and support the Global Security organization to meet its strategic objectives. With your team, through transversal activities, you will make GS leadership and their teams successful by ensuring a common vision and aligned priorities. With a focus on delivery, collaboration and efficiency, you will help teams identify and solve impediments.

The CSO Office and Strategy mission is to build, evolve and communicate our overall cyber strategy in line with the changing threat landscape, Swift business and technology strategies, industry best practices and regulatory changes. The team is responsible for translating this strategy into an execution plan and for driving its implementation for both change and run activities. Continuous monitoring of the strategy is supported by established metrics and succinct communication to senior management.

The complexity of this position requires a leadership approach that is engaging, imaginative, and collaborative, with a sophisticated ability to work with other leaders to set the best balance between security strategies and other priorities at the program level.
Your mission
Together with the heads of other security functions, you will support the CSO in driving its mission. You therefore have a transversal role and will lead your team to help and support the rest of the organization to be successful. Some of those challenges include:
  • Drive the evolution of GS towards a service organization (identify customers and develop a service catalogue with proper service level management, capacity management, cost management…)
  • Provide support to help GS move towards a risk-based approach where risks, controls and costs are managed as interrelated dimensions to help drive “Operational readiness and efficiency” investments
  • Develop the right communication channels to articulate the key security objectives across all levels in the organization and make it meaningful and create excitement around it across all levels in GS
  • Engage with the industry to learn from peers and get inspired by success stories & stay abreast of information security issues and regulatory changes affecting the financial community and communicate to teams on a regular basis about those topics.   • Identify our key internal and external stakeholders and their needs. Liaise, manage and maintain relationship through proper needs identification and tailored reporting
  • Evolve the SAFE program to further enforce expected security behaviors across the enterprise
  • Ensure that the transformation program delivers practical, valuable and visible changes to the GS organization
  • Create more security ownership across the organization to help spread accountability on risks and controls
  • Continue to mature security analytics to champion data driven security decisions
  • Assist the CSO in representing SWIFT’s committees and boards associated with global, national and regional consortiums and collaborations
Your team
The “CSO Office and Strategy” consists of the following teams:
  • Strategy and Governance: Develops security strategy and aligns communication to all levels of governance.
  • Roadmap, Planning and Execution manages the execution of security strategy across all Swift environments (PRD, SEN,
    swift.com
    , Cloud)
  • Security Awareness: Instills a people mindset and company culture to stimulate the right vigilance level and behaviors of all people at Swift to protect Swift key assets and intellectual property from external and internal unintentional or malicious human actions
  • Security Analytics: Enables the business to make data-driven security decisions through dashboards and metrics
  • This is a critical role that requires a strategic business focused or security professional with a track record in leading transformation and teams within a mission critical and high transaction volume environment. The candidate will need exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage with and influence the culture and perception of business leaders internal to the organization as well as external constituencies
Your experience
  • Strong relevant work experience in the governance reporting (Exco, board, oversight), IT/cyber security field and/or risk management
  • Ability to build a strategy and put it into execution
  • Swift business understanding
  • Experience in project management and development environments is an asset
Your profile
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on people, collaboration, coaching and servant leadership
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, and ability to structure thoughts into clear messages
  • Prior experience in working with business, technical and executive profiles with the ability to adapt messages across different types of audience (business, technical…)
  • Autonomous, accountable and result-driven with strong ability to quickly adapt and respond to change
  • Personal drive, passion and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigate a company undergoing meaningful transformation in technology
  • Proven track record of improving performance and driving high performance in their current team
  • Able to develop effective internal and external relationships across divisional boundaries and demonstrate that they can make and influence decision
  • Exceptional communication skills necessary to advise and influence senior management, the Board of Directors, oversight committees and external organizations
